Резюме

Тази статия представлява литературен преглед на релевантните източници по въпроса за връзката между формата на държавно управление, от една страна, и институционалната ефективност, разгледана като икономическо развитие, от друга. Проблемът, който авторът разгръща е противоречието в литературата и в частност липсата на единодушие по въпроса кои институции водят до икономически растеж. Задачата на разработката е да изложи синтезирано идеите и приноса на ключови автори в сферата. Статията има за цел да послужи за теоретична база на следващи изследвания, както и да разграничи празноти в теорията, повдигайки следните въпроси: Как институциите влияят на икономическия растеж. Кои са тези институции? За кои режими са присъщи те?

Abstract

This paper is going to serve as a literature review of the relevant literary sources regarding the supposed connection between forms of government, on the one hand, and institutional effectivity understood as economic prosperity, on the other. The problem this article attempts to tackle is the contradiction in the extant academic literature – namely the lack of consensus regarding the question which institutions can lead to economic growth. This article aims to briefly lay out the ideas and contributions of some of the key researchers in the field. This paper is tasked with establishing the theoretical foundation for further research and defining gaps in the existing literature by posing the following questions: How do institutions influence economic growth? Which are those institutions? Which political systems are more likely to include them?
