Резюме

ВиК секторът в България се намира в кризисно състояние, което продължава години в редица области на страната. Статията разглежда социалните и икономическите ефекти от загубите на вода по водопреносната мрежа, както за най-засегнатите населени места от безводието, така и цялостно за България. Основните резултати от изследването показват, че кризата във ВиК сектора оказва косвено влияние върху БВП на България (поради водните режими), като същевременно спомага и за задълбочаването на демографските проблеми, свързани с обезлюдяването на областите, породено от влошаването на жизнения стандарт. 

Abstract

The water supply and sewerage sector in Bulgaria is in a state of crisis that has been going on for years in a number of regions of the country. The report examines the social and economic effects of the water supply and sewerage crisis both for the settlements most affected by the water shortage and for Bulgaria as a whole. The main results of the study show that the water supply and sewerage crisis has an indirect impact on Bulgaria's GDP (due to water regimes), while at the same time contributing to the deepening of demographic problems related to the depopulation of the regions caused by the deterioration of the living standards of the population.
